Our Mission

Tracy REACH (Residents Empowered Advocates of Change) is a non-profit organization with 501 (c) (3) status. Our main goal is to unite the community, raise our concern for community needs, and create awareness to live a safe, healthy, and better future.

Tracy REACH works with the community to raise awareness on important issues. We inform and educate. We work with our elected officials and advocate on important issues for our citizens. We believe mobilizing our residents to ensure our voices are heard is essential to a thriving community.

Tracy REACH is an organization that believes in public service. We are made up of individuals who donate their time and money to serve our community. This is an essential part of ensuring that the place we live is the best it can be.

Tracy REACH is a cultural heritage organization dedicated to fostering community engagement through cultural and arts programs, ethnic and cultural awareness initiatives, and vibrant festivals.

Rooted in cultural values that emphasize preserving, promoting, and sharing traditions, customs, arts, and heritage, our organization is dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. We support initiatives such as indigenous language revitalization, ethnic dance troupes, historical preservation efforts, and community arts programs that celebrate local artistic expression.

Key aspects of our mission :

Focus On Cultural Identity :

Prioritizing the unique aspects of a particular culture, like traditional music, clothing, storytelling, or dance.

Community Engagement :

Actively involve cultural group members in the organization’s programs and decision-making.

Education and awareness :

Providing educational opportunities to the broader community about the culture they represent.

Intergenerational Transmission :

Efforts to pass down cultural knowledge and practices from elders to younger generations.

As part of our community, we hold at least three events yearly: Holi (the Festival of Colors) in March, Diwali (Festival of Lights) in October, and Christmas in December. We want all neighborhoods to come together to support and enjoy those events.

Holi (Festival of Colors) :

Holi is a vibrant Indian spring festival of color and joy. Experience the energy of music, dancing, and the playful tradition of throwing colors. This cultural celebration allows everyone to have fun and banter by throwing colored powder at each other. The festival has many purposes, most prominently celebrating the beginning of spring.

Diwali (Festival of Lights) :

Diwali is a festival of lights that symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Millions of people in India and around the world celebrate it. During the festival, the celebrants illuminate their homes, temples, and workspaces with diyas (oil lamps), candles, and lanterns.

Christmas :

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25. It is a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people worldwide.
